Segundo a Ag\u00eancia Brasileira de Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o (EBC), o ministro da Agricultura, Carlos F\u00e1varo, disse em uma conta pessoal do Instagram que far\u00e1 a indica\u00e7\u00e3o. Ser\u00e1 a primeira vez que uma mulher ocupa a fun\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo F\u00e1varo, Silvia \u201cpreenche todos os requisitos\u201d para assumir o cargo. Natural de Passos (MG), ela est\u00e1 na Embrapa desde 1989. \u00c9 graduada em An\u00e1lise de Sistemas pela Pontif\u00edcia Universidade Cat\u00f3lica de Campinas, tem mestrado na \u00e1rea de automa\u00e7\u00e3o pela Faculdade de Engenharia El\u00e9trica e de Computa\u00e7\u00e3o da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), e \u00e9 doutora em Computa\u00e7\u00e3o Aplicada pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (Inpe).<\/p>\n<p>Silvia est\u00e1 \u00e0 frente da Embrapa Agricultura Digital desde setembro de 2021. Lidera projetos na \u00e1rea de engenharia de software, intelig\u00eancia artificial e computa\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica aplicada \u00e0 agricultura.
