The result was driven by foreign sales of corn, cellulose, beef, poultry and vegetable oils, according to data in the External Sector Conjuncture Letter of January\/2023, released by the Secretariat for the Environment, Development, Science, Technology and Innovation.<\/p>\n<p>After corn, the product with the highest share was cellulose, responsible for 23.59% of the total value and which had an increase of 23.08% compared to January 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The main destination for exports from Mato Grosso do Sul is China. Purchases made by the country represented 27.13% of the total value exported by the state. The two main ports for shipping products from Mato Grosso do Sul are: Paranagu\u00e1 (in Paran\u00e1 state), with 38.65% of operations, and Santos (in S\u00e3o Paulo state), with 29.65%.<\/p>\n<p>The main exporting municipality was Tr\u00eas Lagoas, around 34.06% of the exported values, driven by the production of paper and cellulose.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exports from Mato Grosso do Sul in January 2023 increase 7.17% compared to the same period last year, closing at US$ 565.46 million.
